辛礼生，山西省河曲人。祖、父辈都能唱歌，自小耳濡目染，深得真传。稼穑之余，他常走村串户，为乡亲们演唱山曲二人台，最远曾到过内蒙古的锡盟一带，深受人们的欢迎。辛礼生的演唱风格劲朗，高低音转换出神入化，高音区行腔劲力十足，游刃有余。他演唱一些曲目时，板式处理自由，声腔响遏行云，深得民歌的真蕴，是河曲民歌界实力歌手。
另：西人帕瓦罗蒂乃意大利美声高音Ｃ之王，享誉环球，音乐界向无异议，然此说颇为吾国有识者不取：以我泱泱华夏，英才辈出，寻常高音Ｃ似不足以为奇矣。据我权威人士测定，贺（玉堂）比帕高3度，辛礼生更比贺高5度。
